March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- RINGGOLD, Ga. – Lois Carscallen, a Sandpoint, Idaho, resident, recently published a book titled Beyond Jacob's Ladder: The Simplicity of Salvation. Carscallen’s goal in writing the book is to help readers realize just how simple salvation can be by examining the lives of different Bible characters and the steps that they took while climbing the “ladder” of life.

The book examines the following “ladders”:

·       Jacob’s ladder will teach you to trust God’s promises and start a relationship with Him.

·       Peter’s ladder highlights the gifts from God.

·       God’s ladder emphasizes the importance of the Ten Commandments

·       Jesus’ ladder discusses the hardships God’s people may endure.

·       Paul’s ladder talks about embodying the fruit of the Spirit.

·       God’s Creation ladder examines the beginning of humanity.

·       John and Moses’ ladder provide understanding about the sanctuary message.

Just as God spoke to Jacob in a dream, Carscallen believes that God speaks to us by words written in the Bible.Using the Bible as Beyond Jacob’s Ladder’s backbone, Carscallen hopes that readers will find security and comfort in Christ.

Carscallen yxpjq is an active retiree who has lived in Sandpoint since 2002. She retired in 1987 after working for the Potlatch, Idaho, school district for twenty years. At her retirement, she was the director of special services, which included overseeing the special education, learning disabled, gifted, and health programs, as well as being the school psychologist.
