MMY Consulting Gives Back in Charitable Donations

INDIANAPOLIS - March 5, 2014 - PRLog -- INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 5th, 2014) MMY Consulting, Inc. (MMY) a provider of information technology consulting services announced its charitable donations for 2013. On an annual basis, MMY surveys its Associates seeking nominations of organizations that they feel are worthy causes. The top recommendations receive a donation from MMY on behalf of the nominating Associate.

“We are very fortunate to be in the position that we are able to help these charities. The work that is performed by these organizations is incredible. We are thrilled to do our small part”, said Bill Monachino, President.

Based on input from MMY staff, there were the five very deserving organizations selected:

The Seeing Eye is the oldest and perhaps most accomplished source of trained dog guides for blind people in America. They annually train hundreds of guides and meticulously match them with the blind people they are most compatible with, enabling those people to lead independent lives and pursue satisfying careers. One need look no further than the regal retriever that safely guides one of MMY's own associates to work day after day to see the value of this organization and why it would be a deserving recipient of our charitable giving.

Gleaners Food Bank of Indianapolis:There are many families going without food and the numbers continue to increase. Food is a necessity that we can't do without. We all are blessed to have jobs where we earn money to not only buy the necessities of life This donation goes directly to the hungry people in Indianapolis.

The mission of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central Indianais tocure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Indy Readshas been providing literacy tutoring to adults for many years. This tutoring helps improve their lives in many ways, and gives them a hand up instead of a hand out. This year, Indy Reads provided tutoring for 1,500 individuals. Last year, in addition to providing tutoring, they opened a used bookstore downtown. This bookstore fills a retail gap near Mass Ave. and provides reasonably priced reading materials to people of all ages. Indy Reads meets the 20 BBB standards for charitable giving.

The people at the Humane Society of Hamilton Countydo everything in their power to help and save the fur babies of the world. They perform life saving surgeries before having the funds for it and go out of their way to find homes for the abandoned animals. If anything a donation might buy food or cleaning supplies or even pay for a surgery. Thank you for considering this organization! HCHS is the only no-kill shelter in this area dedicated to finding forever homes for all animals in it's care.
