Jay Grant, Secretary General for the International Association of Airport and Seaport Police (InterPort Police), is happy to announce that intelligence analysis internships for the 2014 are now being accepted. Selection process will end by February 28, 2014. All the requirements must be submitted by then AND IN ONE EMAIL. No exceptions. Internship details: •You can complete it at the convenience of your location so no relocation is required. •You will learn the following intelligence analysis: Open Source, Social Media Intelligence, Subject Matter Expert Analysis (all fields), Big Data Analysis, and if you are in law enforcement already, intelligence, or military, are inside a body of government, you will be able to master additional skills (they will be able to work with people from around the world). •People in government already are required to obtain a Memorandum from their superior accepting that you become appointed to the InterPort Police and be part of the Intelligence Analysis Center. •The requirements are that you produce at least one piece of product, for which you will be assigned on a weekly basis. Each product, you will be evaluated and mentored so you can become better. •Failing to produce at minimum of 75% will terminate your internship. •We are looking for the following areas of interest: Airport Security Seaport Security Maritime Security Homeland Security Law Enforcement (Focus on Intelligence Sharing & Criminal Intelligence) Crime Prevention Cyber Security Terrorism Counterintelligence (New Program in 2014) Organized Crime (New Program in 2014) Anti-Gang Policy (National and International) Politics (Worldwide) Requirements for the internship: •Provide a detailed resume •Submit yourself to a security check that includes credit •Verification on your resume will be performed •If you are in a government body already copies of credentials •Be able to participate in the program by working on the program at your own time for a minimum of 3 hours a week. •Complete your work and writing skills must be considerable above average. The first products you put together may cause you to end your internship if your writing skills are below average. •Submit papers and briefings you have completed as samples. No more than 2. •While no minimum education requirements, each situation will be seen individually. Our prospects last year had bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees. •Summit one analysis of 500 words or less. See below for more instructions. Submit in additional to the requirements above the following: •Analyze one news article (Open Source) in the field of interest. •Put in word, double space, put the link to the article on the top. Title your small paper and state your analysis by providing us a position that explains the situation. •Paper must be 500 words or less. If you cite, you must follow Turabian Style 7th Edition with Notes-Bibliography Style. •During your interview, you will be questioned on your paper. Produce your original product alone please. We will detect incompetence during the interview. Who has taken our internship during 2013: •Members of the Intelligence Community in the US. Candidates looking to get in and retired members of all the different branches. •People interested in pursuing a job in the field of intelligence. •Law enforcement from all different areas. •Subject matter experts from 12 different countries. •Some of the interns in 2013 spoke multiple languages (one spoke 12). •United Nations current and former contractors. •Military and Security Contractors. •Students from some of the most prestigious schools form around the world with a focus in security. •Fortune 500 security personnel.
