HELENA, Mont. - Jan. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- In 2012, Paul and Cindy Antonia moved their bourgeoning concession business into one of downtown Helena’s oldest coffee locations. Lattes and Sundaes Cafe and Espresso Bar is situated on Fuller Avenue, providing a pick-me-up for early morning farmer’s market attendees and refuge from the heat and hubbub of summertime al fresco concerts. The warm wood decor and overstuffed leather couches combined with soothing blue walls and massive front windows make Lattes and Sundaes the perfect place to meet up with friends or cozy up with your latest read. Students and businesspeople can take advantage of the large tables and WI-FI connection for meetings and study groups, seven days a week.

“We love using our local farmers from the farmers market for our weekly specials. Our roaster is also local and is located in Montana City,” said Cindy Antonia. The couple chose to use Wilcoxson’s ice cream, which they tout as “the best there is,” for their popular sundaes, shakes and cones. Their signature drink is an espresso milkshake called the FRAP-O-RAMA, which combines your choice of Wilcoxson’s smooth vanilla or chocolate ice cream with a double espresso shot for some kick. A breakfast and lunch menu is available, with a range of items from wraps and pasta to “the number one winter comfort lunch, the grilled ham and cheese sandwich served with roasted red pepper soup,” according to Antonia. Each menu item is made to order using fresh ingredients, and nothing comes from a package.

The Antonias moved to Montana 15 years ago to raise their family in a smaller, healthier community. “We are grounded in being locally owned and operated and giving back to our local community. With the support of our customers helping us build our business we were able to support and give back to over 20 local organizations,” explains Cindy, who retired from the telecommunications industry in 2008. Worlds apart from his current role as a small business owner, Paul worked on the ASARCO remediation project until it recently ended.

Lattes and Sundaes is committed to evolving to meet the needs of its ever-growing customer base. “We joined Helena’s Most Wanted because it is a locally-based business and reaches thousands of potential customers.” The convenient downtown location, open daily until 4:00 p.m., offers dedicated off-street parking in the Finstad’s lot and additional parking on the street.
