“Walk the Chalk” at Chalk Art 2014 in Naples, FL

Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- SARASOTA, FL– Go Touch Down Travel & Tours is pleased to be among the sponsors of The Naples-Pelican Bay Rotary Club’s annual street painting extravaganza, Chalk Art 2014. Benefitting local Collier County charities and the Pelican Bay Rotary Scholarship Fund for local students, the popular event is free to the public and will take place along Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples, Florida, Saturday January 25 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Matt Nolton & Mike Richardson, Co-Chairs of Chalk Art 2014 expect thousands of spectators to come “walk the chalk” as individuals and teams of amateur and professional artists transform Fifth Avenue into a colorful, half-mile long concrete canvas. The rain date is Sunday January 26th.

Artist Julie Graden will represent South Africa on behalf of Go Touch Down, unveiling a special tribute to Nelson Mandela. In addition to chalk, this talented artist works in acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, and computer-aided graphic design. Her approach to art is a bright and colorful re-interpretation of the images she sees.
