PRLog -- (Fairfield, CA) Members of the Writers Resource Center (WRC) are inviting authors to kick-off the New Year with a session on how to best plan and write a great manuscript. Attendees will also be asked to help set goals for the Center for 2014. Janie P. Bess, founder of WRC and author of the acclaimed book "Visions," will lead the discussion. The meeting will take place
Saturday, January 11, at 10 am at the WRC office, located at 1652 West Texas Street, Suite 247 in Fairfield. Admission is $10 for non-members. For more information, call 877-629-7369.
"We will cover everything a writer will need this year to get a jumpstart on their next book, or their first book," says Bess. She will lead participants through writing exercises that illustrate key points in her presentation.
Bess is also host of "Word Up," a program on VCAT-TV (Comcast CH 29) in Vallejo. On the show she interviews local writers and others in the publishing industry.
"Featured authors must be WRC members," she says. "It's another benefit of becoming a member of our group." Airtimes for the show can be found at
