GRAS2P is a Washington tree fruit industry grower-based effort for audit readiness, food safety operating procedures, establishment of standards for sustainable practices, traceability from the market back to the farm, and continue use of good agricultural practices in orchards.

Washington State Horticulture Association was organized, in 1904, to represent both shippers and growers. The Hort mission is to advance the tree fruit industry by providing education and training programs to meet the changing needs of the industry. Hort also serves as an advocate on issues affecting the tree fruit industry, particularly legislation and regulation.

ApRecs (http://aprecs.com), a leading provider of food safety recordation tools for the Tree and Vine Fruit industries offers a FREE Grower Account complete with online mapping, easy-to-use record forms and automatic Global GAP updates. The growers control who sees what information and when. In addition to full-service training and support, they provide a service that converts paper records into actionable information—this allows growers to keep focused on growing while providing the information the markets require. ApRecs is compatible with recommendations from Agrian, Chamberlain, G.S. Long, Northwest Wholesale, Simplot, Wilbur-Ellis and QFC so growers only enter information once, and records are securely transferred where and when they’re needed*.
