SALISBURY, U.K. - Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Ecobuild 2014 (www.ecobuild.co.uk) will be greener, smarter and more innovative - making it easier than ever for installers to see the exhibits and attractions that matter to them.

Organisers have listened to feedback and created three core show sections: Sustainable Design and Construction, Energy and Future Cities. And to streamline things even more, there will be six content zones, which will have a theatre, hosting seminar streams and drop-in advice clinics, held by industry leading organisations.

“We believe the show will really work for our visitors,” explained Alison Jackson, Group Director of Sustainability & Construction, Ecobuild.

“Ecobuild is the world’s biggest showcase for sustainability, so it’s important that visitors can easily head to where they need to be, whether they’re interested in energy, water efficiency or Green Deal.”

The 'Design' zone will look at the most cost effective way of delivering sustainable projects. It looks at lighting, fabric, services, adaption and designing for productive environments.

The 'Building Performance & BIM' (http://www.ecobuild.co.uk/Content/Building-Performance-an...) zone will help visitors understand how to deliver optimum energy performance. Initiatives under discussion include Government Soft Landings, which will be mandatory on government projects from 2016.

The 'Refurbishment & Retrofit' (http://www.ecobuild.co.uk/Content/Refurbishment-and-Retrofit) zone will cover the challenge of meeting the government's target of an 80% cut in carbon emissions by 2050.

The 'Green Energy' (http://www.ecobuild.co.uk/Content/Green-Energy) zone will look at cost effective ways to achieve low and zero carbon energy targets and getting the balance right between fabric and renewable energy technologies.

The 'Water, Waste & Materials' (http://www.ecobuild.co.uk/Content/Water-Waste-and-Materials) zone will include design strategies to minimise the production of waste and the effective reuse and recycling of leftover materials.

The 'Future Cities' (http://www.ecobuild.co.uk/Content/Connecting-Future-Cities) zone will cover the most effective ways of delivering sustainable communities including green and blue infrastructure, transport, energy networks and smart cities technology.

Ecobuild celebrates its 10th birthday when it returns to the ExCeL in London, on the 4-6 March. It’s free to attend, go to www.ecobuild.co.uk for more details and to register.
