"Be On the Lookout" for a Glympse of a Leader Dog in Training

Their initiative will enhance the protection and tracking of a future guide dog being raised by Dog is Good co-founder, Gila Kurtz.

The new puppy (a female yellow lab named "BOLO" -- short for "Be on the Lookout") will also be making public appearances to raise awareness and money for Leader Dogs for the Blind, the organization that provides service dogs for the visually impaired, blind, and deaf-blind individuals. Leader Dogs for the Blind (leaderdog.org) and Kurtz will share young BOLO's travels through PetHub's new Glympse-powered feature.  The first appearance tracked by the new feature will take place during a holiday parade on Friday, December 6, 2013, in Seal Beach, California. "Keeping in line with this year's theme of 'Surf, Sand and Santa,' BOLO will be riding a small float built to look like a fabulous sand castle dog house," said Ms. Kurtz, BOLO's guardian. "BOLO will be representing 'The BOLO Project' and her future role as a Leader Dog for the Blind."

BOLO's initial training will last only a year, but her protection through PetHub and Glympse, along with the love of all involved, will last a lifetime.
