Learn about the outstanding facilities at the Ark

HEBDEN BRIDGE, U.K. - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- In ‘The Ark’ , children from 4 weeks to 4 years are cared for to play and develop at their own pace. Young babies and toddlers are closely watched and progression is based on their interaction with other children during group activity.  Parents are given a record at the end of each day including sleep times, toilet habits, weaning and foods - all based on you and your partner’s preferences!  There is a pre-school room to prepare children for education with curriculum based activities that are relevant and motivating - plus a well equipped library to encourage reading, storytelling and even a sports hall.

SPACE 1 and 2 - the out of school and holiday club, were developed with Jo and Heidi’s experience of their own children as they reached school age.   It’s divided between ages 4-7 and 8-14.  SPACE offers a drop off and collection service to school with healthy nutritious breakfast and the opportunity to relax with friends.  Children can choose between computers, music, playstations, books, baking, sand pits and much more!   Not only does the after-school club offer sports facilities, an arts and crafts area, help with homework - but is decked out with the latest gadgets and games.  It’s a great place for kids to have supervised time on large toys that you may not have space for at home. Tea is also provided.

For the older kids in SPACE 2, there’s not only sports facilities, but an indoor traversing wall for maximum WOW factor! There is a computer suite with secure internet access for games and homework and a fully functional kitchen where the kids can help staff prepare meals.  Whilst the older children are given more independence in SPACE 2, all areas have highly qualified and trained staff supervising activities.

The Ark & Space are open during every local school holiday with an exciting programme of events and activities.  Of course all the programmes have been recognised by OFSTED where in recent inspection they were judged to be “Outstanding.”  For information on outings planned this year, check the website’s event planner.
