The 2014 Subaru Forester Has Been Named the Motor Trend SUV of the Year

The Forester also excelled in the category of safety. The vehicle comes with seven standard air bags along with a fuel system cutoff if sensors detect a potential hazard. For maximum occupant protection, the Forester was built with Subaru’s ring-shaped frame reinforcement body structure.

Even though the 2014 Subaru Forester is on the smaller side compared to other SUVs, its functional design optimizes that space nicely. There is plenty of room in the back seat while maintaining a vast amount of cargo space. This is not the first time that the Forester has earned this prestigious award. The previous generation of this model took the title in 2009. Since the Outback also won this award in 2010, Subaru has won SUV of the Year more than any other manufacturer.
