| ![]() Photographer's image wins contest to appear on cover of 370,000 Bristol visitor guidesAn image taken by a Bristol photographer as part of a unique competition capturing a day in the life of the city has been selected to appear on the front of next year’s official visitors’ guide to Bristol.

It will now appear on the official 2014 visitors’ guide to Bristol, 370,000 copies of which will be distributed. Allwood was one of over 100 photographers who spent 19 October travelling around the city. The project led to 72 shortlisted images, including Allwood’s ‘Rainbow Over Coloured Houses’, being exhibited in at the Guildhall until 27 November. Commenting on her win, Allwood says: “I almost fainted when my name was announced as the Visit Bristol winner. I couldn’t believe it. “24 Hours in Bristol was an amazing experience and just getting shortlisted for the exhibition was an honour. But to have an image of my daughter on a guide that showcases our wonderful city is an absolute dream! “Lula-June has already signed autographs so I think we might have a little star on our hands.
