| Ramin Amirebrahimi Brings Awareness To The Fraud In The Debt Settlement IndustryDid you borrow more than you had? Are you credit cards now maxed and you're paying only penalties and interest? Ramin Amirebrahimi exposes fraud in the debt settlement industry and credit repair industry.
By: Ramin Amirebrahimi Known as a consumer advocate, Mr. Ramin Amirebrahimi states that the "Better Business Bureau is warning financially troubled families to beware of misleading debt settlement companies that claim they can easily reduce or eliminate credit card debt. Ramin goes on to say that since the start of the recession, BBB has received more than 3,500 complaints from individuals, including many who paid hundreds of dollars in upfront fees to debt settlement companies but only fell deeper into debt." Stephen A. Cox, President and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus states, "The debt settlement industry is flourishing and many families are being lured into believing that debt settlement is an easy fix and that their credit card debt will just disappear. “The truth is that the process doesn’t work for many consumers, it has potentially serious negative consequences, and should primarily be used as a last ditch effort to stave off bankruptcy. View BBB full article: http://www.bbb.org/ Ramin Amirebrahimi goes on to say that so many debt settlement and debt consolidation companies violated federal laws by misleading and illegally telemarketing millions of consumers, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC is now seeking that the federal district court freeze the assets of these fraud driven companies. The FTC just wants to put a stop to these illegal practices. Thousands of Americans are being solicited by phone terrorists who are simply driven by money. Some of these companies teach their sales agents/telemarketers to simply follow a script filled with ways to make you think settling your debt is in your best interest. Note: There are plenty of proper companies out there, but most have fallen shy of giving white glove service to clients. http://raminamirebrahimi.com/ According to the FTC's complaint, a scheme that bills itself as 'America's Premier Debt Consolidation Company' is violating the FTC Act and the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule, led by a Florida attorney who is using a sham nonprofit company to violate telemarketing rules that exempt legitimate nonprofit entities. With any financial service industry there are going to be bad eggs. With this said, it’s best to check with the BBB and do your homework if you do choose that debt settlement or debt consolidation is in your best interest. Do not allow a quick speaking cold caller to gain your attention. They are trained to keep you on the phone. Ramin Amirebrahimi states, “If you haven’t requested information from the company calling you just say no thank you, and hang up. A reputable debt validation company should be getting back you, not the other way around.” Remember to protect yourself. Follow Ramin Amirebrahimi at http://raminamirebrahimi.com End
