Spreadshirt introduces new CTO, Guido Laures

Guido Laures is new Chief Technology Officer of the E-Commerce Platform
 
Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- New CTO of Spreadshirt (http://www.spreadshirt.co.uk/) and a member of the Executive Team, Guido Laures takes on the overall responsibility for the European and North American IT sector of the international e-commerce platform. His duties include both the operational and staffing business of all IT departments, from development to internal IT services.

The computer scientist follows Matthias Spiess, co-founder of Spreadshirt, who left the operational business of the company in October 2012, having been CTO of Spreadshirt for more than ten years. In the meantime, interim CTO Kai W. Zimmermann had overall responsibility for software development, quality assurance, reporting, platform operations and internal IT services. His successes in recent months include the restructuring of IT with a focus on transparency and flexibility in the implementation of agile projects.

Guido Laures’ previous roles include management experience and building departments in fast- growing companies. "With his expertise in the management of several agile teams, Guido will be of great benefit for us in the organisation and the further growth of the Spreadshirt platform." says CEO Philip Rooke. "The platform is the heart of Spreadshirt. Guido's task will be to secure and optimise the basis for its continuous development."

Before Spreadshirt Laures was manager of itCampus, a subsidiary of Software AG. There the 41 -year-old previously served as Vice President of Global Consulting. Previous career highlights also include SAP, the Hasso Plattner Institute and Daimler research.
