By: Concept PR Each year, the BOP has been growing in eminence and size, inviting some of India’s sharpest minds from sectors such as BFSI, FMCG, manufacturing, consulting, infrastructure, digital and social media, automotive, agri-business, commodity services, telecom and business analytics among others. This year’s sessions will help outline the dynamics pertaining to a particular sector and each leader will share his or her experience in building a successful and sustainable business. In a little over two years since its inception, IMT Hyderabad has built strong industry goodwill and engages with members of the corporate world at several levels that include course and curriculum development, delivering courses alongside faculty members, consulting projects and research opportunities, guiding students on projects, and through networking. Practitioners and business leaders play an important role during course development and delivery at the institution. This is to ensure that the courses being offered are relevant and updated to meet the current as well as future needs of the changing business world. Senior executives from the corporate world take charge of 25 to 30 per cent of every course at IMT Hyderabad. The exclusive Business Orientation Program is part of the same vision and spread over a two-week period. The second semester of the institution’ Through lecture and discussion sessions, invited business leaders outline the dynamics pertaining to a particular sector and share their experience in building their business. As part of the many exciting sessions during the BOP, a group of students makes up the ‘anchor team’ and is assigned to each business leader. The teams interact closely with a business leader during his or her stay at the institute and undertake extensive research on a chosen sector, analyzing the characteristics as well as challenges in the sector. The anchor team helps enhance learning by raising existing issues as well as posing questions of relevance, which benefit any prospective employee in that sector. Students are evaluated on any two sectors of their choice thus helping reinforce and crystallize the key learning outcome. IMT Hyderabad faculty designs the evaluations after taking inputs from the respective business leaders. The institution offers a number of innovative and well-recognized management programs that include a PGDM, Executive PGDM, Fellowship Program, and Executive Education Programs. About IMT Hyderabad IMT Hyderabad started its operations in July-2011 with a two-year full time PGDM program. The Institute has a state of the art 30 acre campus situated near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The Industry centric approach is also reflected its extended internship program, which a student undertakes during the intervening period between first and second year.
