Documents produced by The Melting Pot show that all servers were required to use a contraption called a “Roemmelator” "This was a clearly preventable and foreseeable incident," says Attorney Jason Turchin. "We fully intend on proving that The Melting Pot's employee was negligent and that the restaurant failed to properly and adequately train their employee," adds Turchin. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages greater than $15,000.00. According to Turchin, "we intend on seeking damages for our client's past and futures medical expenses, past and future pain and suffering, other compensatory damages, and punitive damages for what we believe was gross negligence by their employee." The Melting Pot has denied wrongdoing according to their response to the lawsuit. Turchin contends, "It is irresponsible and mind-boggling that their employee can be clearly negligent and injure an innocent victim and customer, yet The Melting Pot refuses to take responsibility. We are going to fight for our client's rights against this corporation to pursue justice for our client."
