Media Release - 2013 Downtown Markham Art Awards

Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Back in September The Remington Group converted 300’ of construction hoarding into an outdoor artists’ canvas featuring 19 talented artists’ work from across the Greater Toronto Area.

We invited the public to visit www.downtownmarkham.ca/publicart to vote for their favourite artist and received more than 71,000 votes during the voting period.

The Remington Group is pleased to invite the artists, their families, the artistic community and City of Markham officials to join them on Wednesday November 13^th for the awards ceremony.

The 2013 Downtown Markham Art Awards will feature an art viewing, address from the Markham Arts Council, and the award ceremony for the winner of the Public Art Competition.  The winner will receive a $5,000 art commission with Downtown Markham.
