By: Fashion Umbrella The Fashion Umbrella has created, for its members and non-members, a 2013/14 curriculum schedule. This schedule will offer seminars and conferences to discuss ways to assist in the betterment of a business. The 2013/14 schedule is as follows: *November 23, 2013 - Press Release 101: Branding a Business *December 14, 2013 - Marketing Part 1: Promoting to the Right Audience *January 25, 2014 - Marketing Part 2: Developing a Targeted Marketing Campaign Currently, the Fashion Umbrella is developing two community initiatives, the Back To School: Refresh and the Educational Honors. The Back to School: Refresh, is a program to provide an educational cushion for students in middle school. The focus is to help ease the financial strain associated with obtaining necessary learning tools for one classroom, by providing essential supplies to accelerate academic performance. The Educational Honors is a recognition- The Fashion Umbrella will host two fundraising initiatives for the 2014 calendar year: UNDER and Baltimore Fashion Week. April 2014 will feature the launch of the second production year of UNDER. UNDER is a fashion showcase that directs attention to the petite consumers. The petite female represents 70% of the current United States population, with an estimated $10 billion spent on petite-targeted fashions. August 2014 will mark the 7th production season of Baltimore Fashion Week and will serve as the placeholder and location, for the Fashion Umbrella’s annual board meeting. Baltimore Fashion Week is a platform for artisans and designers to present a collection of creative talents, in the form of fashion for buyers, retail store owners and boutique owners. The Fashion Umbrella is diligently working on ensuring that all initiatives provide across-the-board support for each member that is associated with the organization.
