With all of the challenges that Superstorm Sandy has presented for municipalities and legislators, the expert panel focused on the state of rebuilding efforts at the Jersey Shore and the implications for future development. This roundtable discussion allowed members and building industry professionals to learn about the current rebuilding standards and requirements, as well as reports from engineering experts about the new flood hazard elevation maps. In addition, a resource guide was provided to all attendees with links to over a dozen important websites that are continually updated as information on rebuilding changes and evolves.
