New Horizons of Southern California is Awarded a Trifecta

Best Places to Work, Microsoft Innovative Partner of the Year, and Microsoft West Region of the Year
 
CULVER CITY, Calif. - Oct. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Southern California (NHSoCal), the world’s largest independent IT training company, announced today a series of awards it has been recognized for by the community and the IT Industry.

For the third consecutive year, NHSoCal has been named Best Places to Work for medium sized companies in Los Angeles. NHSoCal is determined to make the team work environment enjoyable and productive. Wellness month ensures employee happiness and mental wellbeing, team building activities engage friendly competition such as Put Put and Croquet Tournaments, fantasy sports leagues, potlucks and employee pride days build comradery. One of the unique programs that fueled NHSoCal attention was its Employee Appreciation Day at the Del Mar Race Track Opening Day. Additionally, New Horizons engages employees through philanthropic events, partnering with Los Angeles St. Augustine’s to provide a Thanksgiving dinner with their monthly bonus and other donations throughout the year.

New Horizons was also recognized as finalist in Orange County and San Diego Counties.

New Horizons of Southern California announced it was selected as Microsoft’s West Region Learning Partner of the Year for 2013. The Learning Partner of the Year Award is for a Learning Partner that excels in providing innovative training or marketing solutions to drive skills and certification growth. “New Horizons is honored to receive this recognition from Microsoft for the second consecutive year,” said Earle Pratt, Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons Worldwide. “We have leveraged the caliber and global footprint of our training centers to strategically partner with Microsoft at the highest levels. This has allowed us to maintain our position as Microsoft’s largest worldwide training partner. We are committed to maintaining this dynamic partnership for years to come.”

NHSoCal was honored for finishing the Fiscal Year 2013 in the Top 5 of all US Learning Partners in revenue over nearly 230 Learning Partners in the United States, an increase of 39% compared to last year within NHSoCal. Led by New Horizons’ efforts, Microsoft Software Assurance Training Voucher customer usage and consumption was up over 37% in the West region. New Horizons of Southern California also drove Windows and Office Deployment Clinics and Microsoft Experience Centers in the Southern California market. “The 2013 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists represent some of the best and brightest our ecosystem has to offer,” said Jon Roskill, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft. “We applaud each of our partners for demonstrating exceptional dedication in working to solve the most pressing technology challenges facing our mutual customers today.”

For the first time, New Horizons of Southern California was awarded for their efforts to work with Microsoft partners to deliver elite training and development opportunities.  “The success of New Horizons’ Deployment Clinics, which employed a consultative approach in identifying, collaborating with and readying customers for Windows 8 and Office implementation, is commendable,” said Alison Cunard, General Manager, Microsoft Learning. “Excellent training organizations like New Horizons push the edge of innovation and inspire us to continue building stronger partnerships.”
