Stuart Attorney Jerome Stone Certified as NFL Agent

STUART, Fla. - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- (Stuart, FL) ---- Stuart attorney Jerome Stone has a new credential to add to an already impressive résumé: he is now a certified agent for the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA).

A partner in the law firm of Stone & Capobianco, Stone took and passed the arduous NFLPA exam given in July in Washington.  The three-hour test covers a host of issues ranging from the 301-page collective bargaining agreement to substance abuse policies, player benefits and regulations for contract advisors.

The exam is given only once per year, and in order to take it, applicants must have a graduate degree, pay a substantial registration fee, and attend the two-day conference during which the exam is given. 300 applicants took the test in July, but Stone was told by a person familiar with the process that only about a fourth of them passed. Stone received official notice that he had passed the exam in mid-September.

Stone also is a Certified Player Agent for the National Basketball Association (NBA), and has an extensive personal background in sports. He played football at Martin County High School and at Missouri Southern State College, and has been a volunteer quarterback coach for Martin County High’s football team since 2008.

Athletes recruited and signed by Stone will be represented by Title Sports Management, LLC, a new firm he has established which also will engage the services of Danny DiPace, a two-sport stand-out alumnus of Martin County High who went on to play college and professional baseball, as an athlete advisor. “Danny has a keen eye for talent and understands the inner workings of professional sports,” said Stone.

“Talented athletes from the Treasure Coast play for teams across the country, but they need personal representation and should be able to find it within their own community,” said Stone. “Our mission as a sports agency is to provide them with those services.”
