Miller Lite Tap the Future Semifinalists Will Pitch Their Ideas for a Chance at $250,000

ATLANTA, GA (www.prlog.com) - October 3, 2013 – Hundreds of friends-turned-business partners entered the Miller Lite Tap the FutureTM business plan competition, but only 25 semifinalists will pitch for a chance to win a portion of the $400,000 prize pool. Five of the semifinalists from Georgia and the surrounding states will pitch their business idea in front of a live audience at Vanquish on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. The semifinalists will compete locally for a $20,000 prize and the chance to advance to the national finals. They will also receive advice from some of the sharpest business minds in the country, including Daymond John, also known as “The Shark” from ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

“Miller Time is about celebrating with friends and we are excited to offer a program that helps turn great friends into business partners. In an environment where entrepreneurship is on the rise, this is a program we know our consumers will get excited about,” said Steve Canal, MillerCoors Manager of Community Commerce and Partnerships. “Miller Lite Tap the Future offers business partners great feedback and useful tools they can use to build a successful business.”

John is an entrepreneur, business mogul and Shark Tank Investor. He will be the lead judge at each of the live pitch events.

“Business is my passion and I enjoy interacting with up-and-coming entrepreneurs,” he said. "Miller Lite Tap the Future is a platform for entrepreneurs to learn from some of the tried and true business tips I’ve acquired over the years that will hopefully help participants reach the next level of success. I look forward to hearing their pitches.”

Sitting alongside “The Shark” on the judging panel will be Marve Frazier, chief creative officer of Moguldom Media Group and CEO of Bossip.com (http://www.bossip.com/); Leona Barr-Davenport, president and CEO at the Atlanta Business League (http://www.atlantabusinessleague.org/); and Santiago Marquez, vice president and CFO at the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (http://www.ghcc.org/). Kenny Burns, lifestyle specialist and founder of the popular website studio43.com, will host the event. Music will be provided by DJ FADELF (http://djfadelf.com/). Signature hors d'oeuvres will be provided bySilverspoon Catering (http://www.silverspooncateringatlanta.com/).

· 6 p.m.: Press briefing with Daymond John and other judges.
· 6:30 p.m.: Doors open to the public.
· 7:15 p.m.: Teams begin pitching.


The event is open to consumers 21 and older who R.S.V.P. atwww.MLTapTheFuture.com.  Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle and network, and three randomly selected entrepreneurs will get the chance to deliver a one-minute business pitch and receive valuable feedback from the panel of experts. One lucky entrepreneur will be randomly selected from the audience to win a $1,000 prize.

Miller Lite will host four additional live pitch events in Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia and Phoenix. The winners from each market will present before a national panel of judges in December and one team will win the grand prize of $250,000.
