Expanding Membership Spurs Growth of The Pet Professional Guild

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Sept. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Oxford, MS – The Pet Professional Guild (PPG) proudly announces the appointment of Rebekah King to a newly created position of Membership Manager.  The PPG is a non-profit 501 (c) 6 organization committed to representing the interests of pet industry professionals and pet owners who use force-free training and pet care methods.  King is a certified professional dog trainer and pet care technician, holds an Animal Science degree and an MBA from Western Texas A&M and is experienced in veterinary and animal boarding facility management and operations.

Niki Tudge, founder and president of the PPG, says, “Our rapid growth has made it necessary to establish a membership manager position to handle the increasing number of emails, phone calls and membership applications we receive and is part of our continuing efforts to provide our members with the best service possible. To enable me to focus on building our advocacy projects and member services we now require more hands in the office.  King’s key responsibilities will include processing membership applications, managing PPG events and webinar communications and documenting member’s continuing education units.  She will also respond to membership emails and pet owner support requests so we can better help pet owners reach their PPG professional member. “

According to their website, the PPG was established at the beginning of 2012, with the goal of serving the pet industry and as an educational antidote to the scientifically unfounded and dangerous methods and practices popularized by entertainment TV.  One of the PPG’s major responsibilities is to provide educational resources to pet care providers and the public coupled with an emphasis on building collaboration among force-free pet trainers and professional pet care providers in adherence with their guiding principles. PPG partners, members and affiliates focus on each pet’s physical, mental, environmental and nutritional well-being using a holistic approach to the care and training of family pets.
