India’s Top Schools Felicitated at EducationWorld India School Rankings 2013 Awards Night

DELHI, India - Sept. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Every year in September EducationWorld publishes its annual EducationWorld India School Rankings that rates and ranks India’s top schools on 14 parameters including academic reputation, faculty competence, leadership quality, sports education, disabilities friendliness, community services etc (see www.educationworld.in). This year the all-India survey conducted by the well-known Delhi-based market research and opinion polls agency Centre for Forecasting Pvt. Ltd  (C fore), polled 5,779 parents, educationists, teachers and principals across 21 cities to rate 725 schools.

Vasant Valley, Delhi (co-ed), the Valley School, Bangalore (day-cum-boarding), Modern High School, Kolkata (all-girls) and Campion School, Mumbai (all-boys) were awarded as India’s most admired Day Schools.

Rishi Valley School, Chittoor (co-ed), Welham Girls, Dehradun (all-girls), and The Doon School, Dehradun (all-boys) were ranked No.1 in the traditional/legacy Boarding Schools category.

Dhirubhai Ambani International, Mumbai (day), Indus International School, Bangalore (day-cum-boarding) and Kodaikanal International School (fully residential) were voted No.1 in the International Schools category

Among the school principals and education leaders who received awards on the occasion were Arun Kapur of Vasant Valley School, Delhi; Zarene Munshi and Dermot Keegan of Dhirubhai Ambani International School; Roy Robinson of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla; Manika Sharma of The Shri Ram School, Delhi; Abha Adams of Step by Step, Noida; D.R. Saini of DPS RK Puram; Lt. Gen. Arjun Ray of the Indus International School Bangalore; Ryan Pinto of Ryan International Group of Institutions.

Sumer Singh of The Daly College, Indore; Dr. Achyuta Samanta of KIIT University and KISS; and Dr. Augustine and Mme Grace Pinto of Ryan International Group of Institutions were conferred the Lifetime Achievement in Education Leadership 2013 awards and special citations on the occasion.

All ranked schools were awarded trophies and certificates.

Among the top educationists from India and abroad present on the occasion were Graham Cooper and Tina Whitely of the UK-based Capita SIMS, a premier school information management systems company; Swapna Pawar, head of Asian International College, Singapore; Rajeev Pathank, co-founder of Funtoot Learning; and Kishen Whabi of FitKids Education Pvt. Ltd.
