Follow on Google News | Lost Our Home Pet Foundation Found a New Home!Shelter Dedicated to Helping Animals Abandoned Due to Housing Crisis Is Renovating and Relocating
The property Lost Our Home currently occupies at 32nd St. and E. Shea Blvd. was recently purchased and they were given notice that their lease would not be renewed. They had to find a new location to lease or own within 45 days or face eviction. Lost Our Home houses a pet rescue and adoption center, pet food bank, foundation offices, and approximately 40 pets. They also have almost 170 pets in foster care. Lost Our Home quickly needs the public’s support to help them turn the building into a shelter. They are in urgent need of a mechanical engineer to design a ventilation system before they can submit for building permits to the City of Tempe. They also need volunteer workers skilled in drywall, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc., and materials (duct work, drywall, evap coolers, water heaters, and more). If you or someone you know can volunteer your services or donate materials, contact Jodi@LostOurHome.org. Home Depot and Lowes gift cards are also greatly appreciated. “The new building is exciting because it will give us the opportunity to expand our programs and services and build new partnerships with members of the Tempe community,” said Jodi Polanski, Executive Director of Lost Our Home Pet Foundation.
