Devices are tested at an independent lab using a test process to confirm that they comply with the standard. Devices that have successfully completed this test process are recognised by CESG as PRIME devices. Note: At the time of writing, Ectocryp Yellow is being evaluated under the CESG Assisted Products Service, CAPS, and will be tested for PRIME compliance through the Conformance Test Facility operated by Roke Manor Research for CESG. The CAPS service evaluates encryption devices against UK Government cryptographic standards for use by UK Government and other appropriate organizations for data classified up to UK Top Secret.
