Best practice around the Management of Sexual and Violent Offenders (MOSOVO)
AYLESBURY, U.K. - Aug. 23, 2021 - PRLog -- The Investigator is hosting a two day CPD conference to debate challenges and opportunities around the management of serious and violent offenders (MOSOVO).

It will be opened by Chief Constable Michelle Skeer, the National Police Chief's Council lead on the Management of Sexual and Violent Offenders (MOSOVO) who will provide an outline of national developments. She will be joined by a line-up of expert speakers from law enforcement, industry and academia.

We'll be looking at challenges around managing offenders through MAPPA and the challenges and opportunities of multi-agency working; legal powers such as Sexual Risk Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Notification Orders, proactive monitoring using technology, the importance of positive programmes to reintegrate sex offenders into the community as well as the importance of officer welfare.

Who should attend?
It is aimed at officers working in MOSOVO Teams, Public Protection Units, Offender Management Units, Online Paedophile Teams as well as other agencies including Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service, academia and the Third Sector.
