The center was incorporated in 1997 and today offers services such as group home and residential services, individual and family counseling, family advocacy and support services, mentoring, tutoring, after-school programs and recreation, life skills training, and job readiness training. The motto of Garden of Prayer Youth Center is “Keeping Families Together.” The youth center strives to fulfill its motto by providing structured educational and recreational programs and activities to enhance family unity. Garden of Prayer believes in meeting the needs of children and families while maintaining Christian values. The center provides effective services to children and families, respecting their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age and culture. Garden of Prayer prides itself on keeping children healthy, educated, and safe from harm. They involve the client, their families and their community in the planning and implementation of programs. The center employs, maintains, trains, and appreciates dedicated and professional staff, and believes in conducting business with fiscal integrity and in good faith.
