Honda Odyssey Is Highest Ranked Minivan in J.D. Power APEAL Study

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Aug. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Customer satisfaction has a huge impact on a vehicle's resale value and brand loyalty, and the Honda Odyssey commands the highest appreciation from minivan drivers, according to a recent study by J.D. Power and Associates. While the 2013 model will soon be passing on the torch to the redesigned 2014 Honda Odyssey, it is going out at the top of its class in the eyes of consumers. This means the Odyssey will be an attractive trade-in vehicle and Honda can expect repeat customers.

Measuring 77 different performance and comfort attributes, the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study by J.D. Power surveyed more than 83,000 owners and lessees after the first 90 days of ownership of a 2013-model-year vehicle. The 18th edition of the study paid special attention to new features and technology included in current models in 2013. Owners found that the Honda Odyssey was the most gratifying minivan to drive, ahead of the Toyota Sienna.

Building on the strengths of the 2013 model, the 2014 Honda Odyssey will keep its powerful V6 engine, which delivers 248 horsepower while returning up to 28 mpg on the highway. For the first time ever in a vehicle, the 2014 Odyssey will include a convenient built-in vacuum cleaner to keep the spacious interior from getting too dirty. An eight-inch intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) includes satellite navigation, a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines and vehicle performance stats.
