Reverend Barry Wright Discusses the Trayvon Martin Case

By: Reverend Barry Wright
SARASOTA, Fla. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Although it's been a couple of weeks since the verdict was announced in the Trayvon Martin case, the residual effects of the tragedy linger on in our hearts and minds. Reverend Barry Wright wants to take the opportunity to discuss this case and how we can improve our society for our children and future generations.

Pastor Barry Wright believes that there needs to be more commitment from society and government on how we use weapons. It is an arguable issue on whether or not George Zimmerman carried his gun out of necessity. Some argue that his life was endangered while others disagree. Whichever stance you take on the matter, it is our responsibility as citizens to collectively decide when the use of weapons is appropriate.

In order to avoid another tragedy like this in the future, the government needs to step up and make a commitment to protect our youth. It is only through education and the proper utilization of our trained police force that we can ensure protection in our communities. Reverend Barry Wright believes that changes in government are necessary in order to achieve this.

Pastor Barry Wright's thoughts and prayers go out to Trayvon Martin, his family and friends. We pray that we don't hear of another tragedy like this one in our lifetime and that change will happen.
