Marine Corps Veteran Greg Raths Announces His Bid for California's 45th Congressional District

LOS ANGELES - July 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Marine Corps veteran, Greg Raths (R), is currently announcing his bid to run for the U.S. House of Representatives for California 45th Congressional District. The district encompasses Mission Viejo in south Orange County to Anaheim in the north.  Other cities include Irvine, Tustin, Villa Park, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Coto de Caza, Lake Forest, and portions of Orange.

Raths is a family man above all else driven to serve his community to make a difference in the lives of citizens in his district. Raths is a combat decorated retired Marine Corps Colonel who served as a fighter pilot in Desert Storm. During his outstanding thirty-year military career, Raths served as Assistant Chief of Staff at the White House Military Office, directly responsible for military support for the President and Vice President of the United States, and key U.S. Cabinet Officials.

Raths is fiscally conservative with a broad vision to find the common ground amongst people from all walks of life. “My goal is to serve the people of the California's 45th Congressional District openly and honestly. I plan to be accessible to the people I serve and I will respond to their needs," says Raths.

Greg Raths has been married for 31 years to his wife Luci. They raised three children, their son followed in his father's footsteps as a military aviator. The couple’s twin daughters are educators. After Raths retired from the Marines, he became president of an auto parts distribution company.

Serving in the military and the private sector transforming lives, Raths is now ready to take on the responsibility of public service seeking the Congressional seat to serve the people of his district and help make his community a better and safer place to live.
