Dewey Mooring Featured Speaker at the Florida Society for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Annual Education Conference
 
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Dewey Mooring, Jennings’ vice president, will present at the Annual Educational Conference of the Florida Society For Healthcare Public Relations & Marketing (FSHPRM).  The theme for this year’s conference is “Adding a Little Magic to Your PR & Marketing” and will be held in Orlando, Florida from Wednesday, July 17 to Friday, July 19.

On Thursday, July 18 at 11:20 a.m., Mooring will present "Staying Connected with Your Referring Physicians.”  The presentation will explain how marketing to physicians may be the next great frontier in healthcare marketing, powered by the rise of new media, online video and social networks.  Mooring will discuss how the emergence of these contemporary marketing vehicles represents an opportunity for organizations to engage physicians in a manner that could not have been possible in the past.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with other healthcare marketing professionals,” said Mooring.  “The method in which hospitals market to physicians has not significantly changed in the last 20 years.  Furthermore, physician marketing is often overshadowed by service line and brand marketing in our industry.  It is time to turn our attention to the community physicians who serve as our referral base.”
