July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- One of the best things about going on holiday abroad, to a nice hot country, is the tan that you come back with. Whether your skin tans easily, or if you just go slightly brown, the last thing you want to happen is to lose the tan and look as pale as you did before your holiday. Here are some tips on how to prolong your tan, so you can look glowing and healthy for as long as possible;

Cold showers – avoid hot showers or baths as this can dehydrate your skin, meaning it will peel faster than normal.
Moisturise – one of the key things to remember when trying to keep a tan is to moisturise, as this will keep your skin from peeling and will make your tan stick around for much longer.
Exfoliate – although it sounds like it would take the tan off, exfoliating your skin means it will get rid of the dull and patched surface cells, allowing more self-tanning cells to come through.
Gradual tan – invest in a gradual tanning lotion so that when your natural does start to fade you can apply this to make it look like it’s lasting longer.
