2013 over thirty participating restaurants and sponsors supported the first ever Taste of Sutton. Sponsors ranged from big corporate companies like TD Bank and Chase to smaller boutique firms like Manhattan Boutique Real Estate. Participating restaurants showcased amazing and delicious taste plates, including Financier and Rosa Mexicano. This three and a half hour event brought in more than 500 people and has become a benchmark for future events in the Sutton community.
Besides the amazing turnout, including NYC Councilwoman Jessica Lappin, locals voiced their high hopes for future Taste of Suttons: “I have always enjoyed Taste of Tribeca and I am thrilled that Sutton Area Community has decided to do Taste of Sutton”
– Joan Brothers, Board Member of the Leslie House at 220 East 54th
Street. “The restaurants locally are delicious”
– a Sutton Place local.
The Board member of Sutton Area Community and Co-Chair of Taste of Sutton, Joanne Satin, had this to say about the successful event “We’
ve had wonderful feedback, our other sponsors are joyously returning; Kumon wants to be more involved and have story time with kids, the Neighborhood theater wants a table and to do a mini theater production, TD loved the event, the 54th
Street Recreation facility wants to make their presence even larger and the list goes on.”
Manhattan Boutique Real Estate has always been a firm believer of corporate citizenship. “As busy as our days may be, it is important to take a moment and give back to the communities that support us” – Joan Brothers, President and Licensed Real Estate Broker. Events like Taste of Sutton that bring together the local community are exactly the events that the firm continues to sponsor.
