Leading Power Generator Dealer, Buckeye Power Sales, Goes Live with Equip-Soft

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - July 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Allentown, PA – Equip-Soft software has gone live at Buckeye Power Sales, which is using the leading equipment distributor ERP system to manage rentals, service, sales and parts for industrial, commercial and marine generators out of Buckeye locations in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Indianapolis. The company, which is America’s oldest signed Kohler power generator distributor, also rents portable generators to contractors and to organizers of outdoor events such as concerts, and for the purpose of storm/emergency backup.

The 40+ user implementation of Equip-Soft at Buckeye Power Sales includes the addition of a non-serialized component to the Rentals functionality, and adding some key elements to the Advanced Service Scheduling within Service Contracts to manage a very large and diverse set of maintenance agreements.

“One of our biggest issues, before Equip-Soft, was having multiple locations operating as ‘islands unto themselves,’” says Craig Casdorph, Controller at Buckeye. “We had a huge need to streamline and automate processes at all our locations, and we have done just that with the Equip-Soft system.”

Phase II of the Equip-Soft implementation at Buckeye Power Sales will include MobileFrame as the interface between the ERP system and mobile devices for field service technicians and sales people on the road, as well as  KwikTag for document management, and ChargeLogic for credit card processing within the ERP system.
