South Surrey White Minor Softball Association’ With well over 50 games played since the official start of the season, the Thunder 99's have put together an impressive 16-2 regular season record, along with an equally impressive tournament record that includes first place finishes in the SSWR Pee Wee B Tournament, Seattle Acers Northwest Invitational, Surrey District Championships and the Lower Mainland Cup. Throughout the season there have been a number of offensive and defensive highlights that have brought teammates, coaches and fans to their feet, but the key to the successful season has been the ability of this team to play on both sides of the plate, regardless of the lineup out in the field. South Surrey White Rock Thunder 99 advances to BC Provincial Championships "We have had games where the top of our lineup has carried us offensively and we have had games in which the lower half of our order has come through with huge plays to get us through the night. At the same time, there have been some nights in which our bats and base running have been phenomenal, and others in which if it weren't for our defense we wouldn't have had the success that we have had. While it sounds very cliché, this team has found a way to pull each other through one way or another. We have one more goal to meet and if the girls play the way that they have all season, next weekend will a very rewarding finish to the season." said Thunder assistant coach Steve Lee.
