Summit Capitalising on Experience of Global Oil & Gas Leaders to Maximise In-Country Value

CLAPHAM JUNCTION, U.K. - July 2, 2013 - PRLog -- The NOCs & Governments Summit, taking place 28-30 October 2013, at the Mandarin Oriental, London, is spearheaded by the Global Local Content Council (GLCC)-an expert panel comprised of thought leaders at the forefront of Local Content and In-Country Value initiatives around the world. This government and industry led Council will enhance collaboration and enable crucial and relevant insights on the hugely topical issue of creating In-Country Value through Local Content and diversification.

Council members include: H.E. Thamir Ghadhban, Chairman of the Advisory Commission to the Prime Minister, Iraqi Government; Engr Ernest C Nwapa, CEO & Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board; Mohamed Al Harthy, Chief Executive Officer, OPAL Oman; Mounir Bouaziz, Vice President Commercial- MENA NBD & LNG, Shell; Alexandre Oliveira, Emerging Markets O&G Leader, Ernst & Young; Willy Olsen, Senior Advisor, INSTOK, who will lead debates on how a resource holding country can develop its local content strategies to create real In-Country Value.

Conducted under the Chatham House Rule, the Summit will capitalise on experiences from across the globe and participants will discuss strategies that will develop Local Content, drive job creation and aid technology transfer.  It will look to answer the definitive question: how can we best facilitate the shift from revenue to value in resource holding nations?
