Training and Certification for Building Envelope Held in Orlando, Florida

The Building Envelope Science Institute will be hosting a training and certification seminar for Building Envelope from October 20 – 23, 2013 in Orlando, Florida.
 
ORLANDO, Fla. - July 2, 2013 - PRLog -- The Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI) will hold a training and certification conference on building envelope on October 20-23, 2013 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel located in Orlando, Florida.  BESI offers comprehensive training and certification for the assessment and inspection of building envelope issues, including but not limited to an overview of building envelope components, methods of testing for problems, and how to write a scope of work.

These are the most comprehensive courses offered and cover topics such as assessment and identification techniques, above- and below-grade waterproofing, expansion joints, sealants, and leak investigation and detection among other things.

The courses for this conference will be divided into two levels over three days, one level of training and one level of certification. Building Envelope Trained (BET-1) will cover the basics of the building envelope and how the components are brought together to create a cohesive unit. Building Envelope Inspector (BEC-2), which includes BET-1, will then delve a little deeper into identification techniques of building envelope issues, and will enable graduates of the course to comfortably perform residential and commercial inspections.
