Follow on Google News | Pic Scanner enables quick DIY scanning of photo prints with unique automatic multi-crop featureApp for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch launches on the Apple App Store on Thursday, 27 June 2013
Pic Scanner primarily targets people aged 20+. Digital cameras became popular just over a decade ago, so older photos are typically in physical form: as prints in albums, framed on the walls, or in desk drawers. Most people would like to scan these - for preservation, for ready access, or for sharing – but find it cumbersome or expensive. Pic Scanner offers a novel solution to this problem. Pic Scanner does all processing directly on the device, not on some remote third-party server – so users do not have to connect to the Internet to save or view photos, or incur data charges, or have privacy worries. Pic Scanner is intuitive and easy to use, with a largely icon-driven user interface. The app website also has downloadable ‘5 Minute Guides’ in several languages. An Android version is also in the works. The app runs on iPhone 4, iPad 2, iPod Touch 5 and newer models of these devices using iOS 6 or later. Developed by App Initio, Pic Scanner launches on the Apple App Store on Thu, 27 June 2013 and can be downloaded free. The free download allows users to experience all of the app’s features, plus one-time sharing. Unlimited sharing privileges require a $2.99 in-app purchase. Please visit www.AppInitio.com/ About App Initio: App Initio is a Hong Kong-based mobile app development start-up. Pic Scanner is the company’s first product. End
