iOS photo app Pic Scanner gets a refresh

Pic Scanner, the popular iOS app for converting old-fashioned photo prints into digital images, has been updated.

CENTRAL DISTRICT, Hong Kong - May 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The Hong Kong start-up App Initio Limited has released the 2015 edition of Pic Scanner, the popular app for digitizing photos.

The app has been optimized for the latest iPhone and iPad models. Its free trial version now allows 12 scans and 12 opportunities to share photos (The old version offered 10 and three respectively). For international users, App Store descriptions and screen shots in German, Korean, Russian and Thai are now available.

Pic Scanner is currently the world’s only mobile app for batch scanning photographs. It lets users scan, automatically crop and save up to four photos at a time. This makes it a handy tool to have on iPhone or iPad for quick scanning, editing and sharing on the go.

Batch scanning is fast and fun, and is popular with the younger users for posting Throwback Thursday pictures. Older users typically use Pic Scanner for preserving old family photos. They tend to scan one photo at a time, in order to get high resolution images suitable for archiving.

Pic Scanner has won accolades from reviewers and users alike. This video shows how the app works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PyHjw7nIwU.

Even if you already use a scanner app, you may want to get Pic Scanner for photos. Your document scanner app is great for documents: It will scan and collate multi-page documents, adjust white/black balance, and output PDF files. Pic Scanner, on the other hand, has features meant for photos: You can edit, add captions, apply filters, and create albums to organize photos. Digitized pictures can be instantly shared on social media, or archived to cloud services. Pic Scanner’s Facebook and Pinterest pages offer family-themed photo crafts ideas for DIY enthusiasts.

Download Pic Scanner free from http://www.appstore.com/picscanner. By the end of your 12-scan trial, you will probably want to upgrade to unlimited scanning and sharing with a one-time $2.99 in-app purchase.
