A new white paper about the iPotty explains a developmental approach to its use in combination with visual training tools and apps.
The iPotty for iPad is a child-friendly toilet training potty that features an attached stand to securely hold an iPad for entertaining toddlers while they play with apps. The iPotty stand can be rotated 360° to allow horizontal and vertical views, and can also be adjusted to 3 positions or removed entirely to adjust for storage. A removable touchscreen cover protects the tablet against messy hands and smudges. The seat, inner potty bowl, and splash guard can be removed for easy cleaning. The iPotty can convert to a child activity seat with the included seat cover so they can safely play apps, read and watch videos on the iPad any time. Since the iPotty for iPad was featured at the CTA Digital booth during CES 2013 in Las Vegas and the NY Toy Fair earlier this year, it has been widely discussed in the international news media and examined by experts and educators. A white paper about the iPotty has been written by Tricia Sulpizio Estrada M.A., Founder and CEO of Brighter Futures for Beautiful Minds. In this document she discusses, from a developmental approach, how the iPotty can be used with visual training tools on the iPad to enhance potty training for young children and those with special needs.
