Toyota Unveils the Next Generation Corolla

Toyota unveiled the new Corolla at Barker Hangar, where guests were treated to a variety of visual, auditory, and culinary entertainment before the big reveal. Celebrity chef Richard Blais, who has found fame on popular TV shows like “Top Chef” and “Top Chef All-Stars” astounded guests with such culinary delights as liquid nitrogen cocktails, licorice grits, and pickled peaches. New York-based performance troupe Fuerza Bruta put on an incredible show suspended in the air above the guests, captivating everyone in the room for the full 30-minute performance.

After these two dazzling experiences, the all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla descended from the ceiling of the Barker Hangar, and after Toyota’s Bill Fay (with some help from comedian Adam Carolla) introduced the new model, attendees were invited to take a closer look at this new Corolla.

The 2014 Toyota Corolla will come in five trim levels: L, LE, LE Eco, and S. But even the base-model 2014 Corolla will include features like LED headlamps and Bluetooth connectivity. Optional features will include a touchscreen infotainment system, backup camera, Smart Key, Entune, and paddle shifters.

Another exciting change for the 2014 Toyota Corolla is the option of a new kind of continuously variable transmission. In order to give drivers the feel of a conventional automatic transmission, this new CVT will feature seven pre-set gear ratios. This new development will aid fuel efficiency while giving drivers more satisfying acceleration.

Drivers looking to get behind the wheel of the new 2014 Toyota Corolla will be able to find it at their local Toyota dealership later this year. Pricing has not yet been released, but the new Corolla will no doubt deliver everything that drivers are looking for in a compact sedan at an affordable price.
