Daily Express Announces Unprecedented Freight Award for 2013

CARLISLE, Pa. - June 7, 2013 - PRLog -- June 7, 2013 Carlisle, PA:  Daily Express, heavy haul and specialized trucking, announced a prominent freight award from a major Midwest manufacturer.  Beginning June 17, Daily Express will move thousands of stepdeck and RGN loads from this, and other Midwest manufacturers going to destinations all over the country.  Up to 40 additional owner operator power units will be hired to accommodate this freight.

The 2013 freight award more than doubles the Daily Express allotment of this freight from the previous year.  The freight will include construction and mining equipment and will originate from multiple shipping points in Illinois, Indiana, and Arkansas with both “legal”, oversize, and overweight loads ranging from as light as 8,100#, up to 140,000#.  The freight will go to popular destinations such as Baltimore, Savannah, Houston, and numerous additional locations.  Additional Midwestern commodities will include agricultural equipment and power systems.

The freight award is due in large part to the effort of Daily Express owner operators and drivers that stepped up to the challenge of servicing our good customers in 2012.   CEO Todd Long said, “Our driver’s stellar performance and safety record have landed Daily Express an even bigger piece of the Midwest heavy equipment market and beginning June 17th, we will perform better than ever!”

Daily Express has a long standing owner-operator culture where owner operators come first and will be adding more trucks to handle the influx of freight.   Owner operators at Daily Express can pull company provided trailers with no rental or lease fees, or, they can use their own stepdeck or RGN equipment.
