"This gala will be a great opportunity for the community to support a worthy cause," said Dr. Henri Paul, President of NOAH NY. “One hundred percent of proceeds will support our efforts to provide healthcare to the underprivileged in Haiti.” NOAH NY, in partnership with the Haitian American Alliance (HAA), EDRA, ADFE, Haiti Soccer Project has conducted several medical missions in the northern Haiti city of Fort Liberté with a staff comprised of all volunteers. This year’s honorees include Kurt Schmoke, Esq, Vice President and General Counsel at Howard University; Dame Petra Nemcova, Amb. at Large for Haiti, Founder & Chair of the Happy Hearts Fund; Linda Brady, MD, President & CEO of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center; and Susan Kwon, Vice President, Network Management at Healthfirst. About NOAH NY NOAH NY is the New York based chapter of the not-for- profit National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians, founded in Washington, DC in 1991. Healthcare, community development and education have always been the primary focus of NOAH NY. Medical mission volunteers include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, social workers, public health specialists and educators who pay their own expenses to participate in life supporting efforts that take place at Fort Liberte Hospital in Haiti.
