Swimming Pool Services Wins Gold, Silver Awards in APSP Regional Competition

PEWAUKEE, Wis. - May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Pewaukee, Wis. – Swimming Pool Services Inc. has capped off a highly-successful season of professional honors by winning Gold and Silver honors in the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals 2012 “Awards of Excellence” for the Region 5/6 Design Awards competition.

Swimming Pool Services (http://www.swimmingpoolservices.com/) captured the awards competing against pool and spa designers from 13 states. The Pewaukee company, which has helped homeowners create private aquatic paradises for more than four decades, earlier won a Gold award and Best of Show honor in the 2012 Midwest Chapter competition, which covers Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.

Swimming Pool Services (http://www.swimmingpoolservices.com/awards) has won Gold awards for 10 consecutive years in the Midwest Chapter APSP competition. The company also notched a Silver 2012 Wisconsin Remodelers Award from Milwaukee/NARI.

The 2012 Region 5/6 Design competition was heated, with award nominations from dozens of companies.

Swimming Pool Services won a Gold Award for “Residential Vinyl-Lined Pools, $50,000 and Over” for a project in Muskego that featured the challenge of a significant uphill slope in the yard. The client sought a free-form shaped pool that would naturally fit into the topography, and be large enough for lap swimming. They also wanted a water feature to dampen traffic noise from an adjacent road. The Swimming Pool Services design team built a custom free-form pool tucked into the yard’s slope, adding a natural stone waterfall that segued into the raised elevation at the backside of the pool.

The Silver Award, in the “Residential Interior Pools” category, recognizes an indoor pool project at a Muskego home. While seeking a centerpiece for family recreation and entertainment, the client’s main priorities also included energy conservation and the safety of their young son. The Swimming Pool Services team built a free-form shape pool with an auto cover to reduce humidity in the room and prevent unauthorized access to the water. The project also included a hot tub and sundeck for relaxation and play.
