Educational Project "Islands of The Bahamas"

NASSAU, Bahamas - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- After such an amazing and adventurous 3 years art journey in The Bahamas, I'm almost done with the discovery of all islands and I finally decided it's time to prepare the conclusion of this fabulous journey by turning my best photos into a beautiful art book. Not only is publishing a first book a major event in itself for any photographer but I also want to make it very special and exclusive one project.

Conceived as an educational project, the hard-cover book "Islands of The Bahamas" will be offered as a reward to high school students graduating in The Bahamas in June 2014. Considering the fact that the Archipelago of The Bahamas has so many islands widely spread on a huge territory, it is easy to understand that most of the Bahamian people - and more especially the youngest ones - never get the opportunity to fully discover their own Country. Traveling between all these islands takes time, it's not always convenient and it is costly. Also knowing that a lot of young Bahamians graduating from high school in The Bahamas are going to pursue their studies abroad (Mostly in American and Canadian Colleges or Universities) and will also start their adult life abroad meaning that very few of them will come back home other than for short period of time and/or vacations.

The general idea of the book "Islands of The Bahamas" is to allow them to travel with a beautiful reminder of what their home Country is all about. To do so, I will share my photographic journey featuring ALL the major islands of The Bahamas giving an in-depth view of land marks, people and major monuments showing the beauty and the diversity of the islands. This will give a lasting visual impression, better knowledge and a deeper appreciation for this archipelagic nation. The featured photographs will show the most important facts about each island’s individuality while capturing my curiosity as a photographer along my journey.
