JaLon Blac invades the 5th Annual Savannah Urban Festival

May 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Savannah Urban Festival was amazing! There were so many artists that were out there...the food...the games. Gracing the stage was JaLon Blac! The single "That Sho'nuff" off of his debut album "Johnny Bootlegger: Maconga, School for the Gifted Presents" made the crowd go wild! "It's just a bless'n, man!," recalls JaLon Blac. "To see people in the audience singing to something that you created, it just makes you in awe. I never expected anything like this!"

JaLon Blac is from Macon, GA and has been rapping for over 8 years. "Life inspires me," Blac shares. "I write about my personal experiences, and things that I have seen my peers go through. I just want music to go back to the days when it was fun. When you had cook outs, barbecues and things like that. There's a lot of soul in my music."

JaLon Blac is one of the artists off of HamTrackz Productions. He met Chazaray "Chazzam" Tolbert through Roc, another artist with HamTrackz Productions. "It's hard to find a producer where y'all just 'mesh'...one who just gets you and what you're trying to create musically. I have encountered a lot of producers who try so hard to sound like everything that's out there. To find someone that has some originality, and can say 'i know this may be out of the ordinary, but lets try this' or 'lets try that'....that's true artistry."

Presently, JaLon is working on a second project and touring. He will be one of the artists performing at the Joplin Music Festival in Missouri.  His advice for upcoming artists? "Don't stop and understand that there's more to this business than just picking up the mic. There's a lot of W.O.R.K involved behind the scenes. There's going to be a lot of people that are going to doubt you, but if you believe that you can do it and in your music, then get out there."
