ACTE announce dual SIM serial to Cellular Gateway from Robustel Technologies

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - May 17, 2013 - PRLog -- M1000 Pro V2 is a ruggedised serial to cellular gateway designed to add GSM, GPRS, EDGE or UMTS 3G cellular connectivity to third party equipment via an RS232 or RS485 connection. Housed in an industrial metal enclosure and measuring 102x71x29mm, M1000 Pro V2 is designed as a ready to go wireless connectivity box for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR), PLC remote management, vending machines, LED signage applications and Point of Sale (POS) connectivity back up. Especially suited for non consumer applications it has a wide operating temperature range of -25 to 70˚C and allows input voltages of 9 to 36VDC or AC mains connection.

The Robustel  M1000 Pro V2 is available in 3 versions. M1000-PGPRS operates on GPRS class10, M1000-PEDGE operates on GPRS / EDGE class 12 whilst M1000-PUMTS operates on GPRS and 3G/UMTS networks.  All products are part of the  “Go Rugged M1000” family which also boast 2G, 3G and 4G industrial modems with RS232, RS485 or USB serial connection options in the range.

M1000 Pro V2 has a dual SIM port as standard allowing for continuous network operation in fringe coverage areas or when tariff usage levels have been reached. Transparent TCP and UDP socket connections are also supported as is an auto reboot feature via SMS / Caller ID or during a preset time of day. In instances of GPRS outage, M1000 Pro V2 allows backup to CSD.

6 status LED’s are provided as standard to provide status and signal strength information whilst the router can be mounted in a variety of industrial preferred methods, including DIN Rail or wall mounting via a separate bracket.

Operators of multiple M1000 Pro V2 terminals also benefit from Robustel’s RobustLink Central Manager software which is a download for users of Robustel products. This package running on Windows or Linux allows for comprehensive centralised management and administration software package to be set up at minimal cost to support the M1000 gateways and R3000 router products remotely. It allows for the monitoring, configuration and management of up to 1000 remote devices on a private network over the web.
