SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- In a bid to capture the interest of readers, the publisher is offering free ebooks for a limited time on a rotating schedule through the rest of this year. Starting with the first book in the Children of The Dragon series is Destiny's Forge, which is available for immediate download in PDF and ePub formats from the publisher's site. "We decided to do this because it is impossible to compete with free ebook sites for market share, and see it as a way to market the rest of the series on an ongoing basis," Antellus CEO and author Theresa M. Moore said. "This way we can see whether we should start publishing hardcover books."

The publisher has concentrated on trade paperbacks and ebooks up until now, but the author recognizes that the marketplace is saturated. The free ebook offering for Destiny's Forge will last through Memorial Day, when the ebook editions will go back on sale and another title takes its place. The free offering is also available on the ebook aggregator and distributor Smashwords, All Romance Ebooks, Barnes & Noble and wherever the ebooks are available for sale. "As a whole, we do not offer our ebooks through free ebook sites. It is counter to our selling program and does not help with the sales of the physical books." All but two of the fiction books will be available in ePub format. The nonfiction ebook version of "A Book of Five Rings: A Practical Guide to Strategy by Miyamoto Musashi" will be available in its full length version only through the Antellus site when its turn comes. Size constraints have caused the publisher to offer the book through Smashwords and All Romance Ebooks in a text only edition.

The Antellus catalog of printed books are available on Barnes & Noble, Powell's Books, Vromans, and other independent bookselling sites as well as Amazon. Plans are in the works for Destiny's Forge to be offered in a hardcover edition in the future. For more information, visit the Antellus site at http://www.antellus.com/.
