The February 2013 eCommerce survey found 34,864 sites in the Alexa Top 1 Million. Out of all the eCommerce sites detected, 26% of the e-commerce sites are built in Magento which is almost triple the number of sites using the second and third place platforms. Moreover, this year’s survey also looked at the top 100,000 busiest sites and found that Magento powers 28% of the store sites on that list, which is more than double the number of stores using Magento closest competition.
